Many Local Authorities are getting individual rooms re-banded as Band A for Council Tax.

Whilst this appears advantageous to landlords, as it moves the responsibility for the Council Tax from the landlord to the tenant, it actually can cause the landlord problems.

Firstly, it will substantially increase the Council Tax for the tenant, thus leading to the chance the tenant will have less cash for the rent.

Secondly, this is grossly unfair to the tenant, having a tendency to hit the poorer of society first.

Finally, it might make it difficult to sell your property.
