Peter Littlewood has written an article about our successful week. The original article can be seen here, and in summary reports that we are pleased to report a highly successful experience at the National Landlord Investment Show on March 19th. iHowz participated in the main panel at the start of the event and later hosted an afternoon session, both of which attracted a standing-room-only audience.
Key topics raised included the Renters’ Rights Bill and new energy efficiency requirements, such as Minimum Energy Efficiency Standards (MEES) and changes to Energy Performance Certificates (EPCs). A straw poll revealed a divided market, with some landlords considering selling due to increasing regulations, while others saw opportunities to expand.
To better understand landlords’ intentions, iHowz will soon launch a comprehensive survey. We encourage all landlords to participate, as this data will support our lobbying efforts with policymakers.
As part of our advocacy, we also attended a roundtable discussion in the House of Lords, chaired by Baroness Scott, focusing on key concerns such as the loss of fixed-term tenancies, student lets, and Section 13 rent increase appeals.
With the Renters’ Rights Bill, Leasehold Reform, and the Planning and Infrastructure Bill all progressing, landlords must stay informed. iHowz remains committed to supporting landlords and ensuring their voices are heard in ongoing policy discussions.
