The Government has launched its Warm Homes Local Grant to improve a home (England only).

🏠 Who Can Apply?

Landlords in England with properties rated EPC D or E
✅ Up to £30,000 for the first property
✅ Up to £15,000 for each additional one
💷 Max total grant cap: £315,000

But only if tenants meet ALL criteria:

• 📍 Eligible postcode (based on deprivation – list available online)

• 💡 Low income (household income < £36,000)

• 📄 Benefit recipients (e.g., Universal Credit, Housing Benefit, or meet ECO4 Flex)

🚫 Strict Conditions

• 🏘️ EPC F or G properties must have a valid exemption to qualify

• 💸 Landlords cannot raise rent during or as a result of improvement works

• 🕵️‍♀️ Council verification required

• 🗃️ All applicants added to a central government database
