Free service to help landlords improve their property’s EPC rating

The free-to-use eco-Landlord service, designed to help landlords improve their property’s EPC rating, has now been extended to include mortgage brokers.

Brokers can now:

  • Advise landlord clients on energy efficiency upgrades

  • Receive notifications if mortgage finance is needed for improvements

  • Help source suitable mortgage products

With proposed government regulations requiring EPC C for new tenancies by 2028 (and all rentals by 2030), eco-Landlord supports:

  • Identifying necessary upgrades

  • Creating personalised retrofit plans

  • Finding grants and installers

  • Verifying improvements with a final EPC

CEO Angus Stewart says the move reinforces brokers’ role as trusted advisors while simplifying the upgrade journey for landlords.
