CAB say that landlords should pay more to avoid mould and damp

Citizens Advice claims that its research shows “1.6m children currently live in privately rented homes with damp, mould or excessive cold” and that over half of private renters in England - 2.7m households - are “struggling with one or more of these issues right now.”

    The government is reported to have spent over £9bn on the energy support grant, while funding for the LADS energy efficiency retrofit scheme totalled £500m.

    It is beyond belief that the government fail to provide sufficient funding to insulate Britain’s homes and has instead subsidised energy use.
