The government’s Private Sector ACM Cladding Remediation Fund, announced in May 2019 to fully cover the costs of removing and replacing unsafe ACM cladding on private residential buildings over 18 metres, is now being phased out.
From 1 September 2025, the Fund will no longer accept new applications. Instead, applications for government remediation funding for buildings over 11 metres in England must be made through the Cladding Safety Scheme (CSS), managed by Homes England. New applicants should apply via the Building Remediation Hub, with further details available in the Cladding Safety Scheme Overview.
Existing applications to the Private Sector ACM Fund will continue to be processed under the current guidance: Private Sector ACM Cladding Remediation Fund: Prospectus.
