Debate on new towns

New Towns: Save the Date for January 15th

Mark your calendars for 15 January 2026, when the Commons Chamber will hold a dedicated debate on the future of New Towns.

Why it matters for landlords:

  • Supply & Demand: New Towns represent a massive shift in housing supply which could impact rental yields in surrounding areas.

  • Infrastructure: The debate will likely touch on planning reforms and the “New Towns Taskforce” progress.

  • Investment Hotspots: Early indications of where these towns might be located could provide a “heads up” for future property investment.

The debate will be led by Katrina Murray MP. We will provide a summary of the key takeaways in our late January update.
