Landlord Accreditation

The iHowz Landlord Accreditation Scheme:
Your Path to Compliance and Success

Overview

The iHowz Landlord Accreditation Scheme is designed to provide landlords and letting agents with essential training, ensuring they fully understand and comply with the complex rules and regulations governing property letting in England. Note that regulations in other parts of the UK may differ.

Why Accreditation Matters

Many Local Authorities require landlords to be accredited, especially when applying for property licenses. Accredited landlords often benefit from reduced licensing fees, making the accreditation process both a compliance and cost-saving measure.

How to Become Accredited

To become accredited, landlords and agents must complete a one-day Foundation Course and pass a short assessment. Accredited individuals are then required to maintain their status through Continuous Professional Development (CPD).

Remember: Ignorance of the law is no defense, and as a landlord, you are ultimately responsible for compliance.

Cost of Accreditation
  • Members: £65 (Includes the first year’s iHowz membership and discounted accreditation training)
  • Non-Members:  £125 (Includes the first year’s iHowz membership and accreditation training)
